Nov. 4, 2008 More important than a black President Dear Diary, Today was a wonderful day. We actually elected a reasonable person to be president. That's actually more important than breaking the black barrier -- though I don't want to give that event short shrift. People are scared straight about the economy when they should be worrying about global warming. But whatever it takes to motivate citizens to vote for a leader who will actually represent their interests. Critics say Barack Obama is an ultraliberal, but as he pointed out: It only look that way because I was always having to vote against the proposals from George W. Bush! I believe Repugnican and independent (me) voters saw a place at the table with Obama that was not assured by Sen. McCain and his (quasi) posse. But whatever. Get behind immigration. These new citizens are going to love to pay our Social Security for a chance to live in a real civilization. Word! You snowbirds have to love this, except maybe you'll be having to compete for those previously assured jobs at Wal Mart. Alright, onto Highway 6, the Grand Army of the Republic Highway, heading east out of Bishop, Calif., to its terminus at Cape Cod, Mass. Word! Again! CCK
