My sister found and posted a bunch of really funny-cute grade-school photos and some from when I was days old and we were moving into the house in Mountain View. Because I moved from there to Santa Clara when I was 5 turning 6, every memory from before has to be from Mountain View. And I have many, including the day I was so impressed they transferred me from a crib to a bed and I didn't wake up when they were doing it. Granted they probably kept me, a rocking rattler, in the crib till I was after I was two. I remember that bed as clear as day, looking up at the bottom of the curtains and all the light from the window because I had to go to bed at 7:30 on a summer day. I rocked myself to sleep out of boredom and a recurrent feeling of falling into a bottomless pit. I remember that feeling and the corresponding, "What if gravity reversed and we had to live on the ceiling and not be able to go outside?"
